2048 is a math puzzle game created by Gabriele Cirulli. The goal is to combine numbers of the same value to create a number with the value 2048.

How to play

The game is played on a 4x4 grid with 16 squares. Each square contains a number, initially 2 or 4. The player moves the squares horizontally or vertically using the arrow keys. When two squares with the same number touch each other, they will merge into a new square with double the number. The goal of the game is to create squares with numbers
2048.

Players can only move squares in the horizontal or vertical direction. Two squares with the same number can be merged into one. With each move, a new square will randomly appear on the board. The game ends when there are no more squares that can be moved or when the player creates a square with the number 2048.

Try to move the squares in a way that creates more squares with the same number. Merge squares with high numbers as soon as possible. Avoid blocking squares at the corners or edges of the board. Use the empty squares to move the squares with high numbers.

Why 2048 is Fun?

Even though it looks simple with just a 4x4 grid, 2048 is very engaging. Every move brings new numbers onto the grid, making the game more challenging and interesting. The excitement comes from planning your moves to merge the numbers and reach 2048. Each game is different, keeping it fresh and fun every time you play.
